![]() Kristi AdamsI grew up in Monticello, MN and have lived there my whole life. I volunteer at homeward Bound Dog Rescue for the last 20 plus years. I own 3 large breed dogs who I love very much. I graduated from MSB/Globe College in Wait Park, MN with my AAS degree in Veterinary Technology. My hobbies are rollerblading, swimming, hanging out with friends, and anything that has to do with the outdoors. |
I began working for Watkins Veterinary Clinic in 2010 as the office manager. My husband, Rick and I raise steers at our home in the country. We have one son, Ryan, who is 19 years old and a 10 year old German shepherd, Reba. Prior to coming to Watkins Veterinary Clinic I worked for another local vet for 11 years. In my spare time I enjoy: 4-wheeling, scrapbooking and cooking. Donna is also the office manager for the Watkins clinic. |
Dr. Dean began his career in 1973 in a local mixed practice. Today he works primarily with companion animals. Dean and, his wife, Joyce have three grown, married boys and six grandchildren. Dean is also a Sunday School teacher and the treasurer at Concordia Lutheran Church. Dean enjoys playing saxophone in both the Annandale and Maple Lake Community Bands. |
![]() Ashley KunkelAshley grew up in Marty, MN and attended high school in Kimball, MN. She attended the Minnesota School of Business for Veterinary Technology and attained her A.S. degree in 2009. Ashley started her career at the Watkins Veterinary Clinic in the summer of 2009. She has 3 furry children; Saydee & Zek, Labrador retrievers, and Kaylee, a French bulldog. In her spare time she enjoys: volleyball, basketball, any activities in the sun and water, and spending time with her family and friends. |
Jen Kuseske, Head Technician, Kimball Jen has been working at the Watkins Veterinary Clinic since 2008, and Kimball Veterinary Clinic since 2010. She graduated from Minnesota School of Business in 2008 with a Veterinary Technology degree. She and her husband Josh have 2 boys Logan and Isaac. In her spare time she enjoys walking her dogs, horse back riding, spending time on the lake, 4-wheeling, camping, and most importantly spending time with my family and friends. |
Dr. Carl grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota and graduated from Jefferson High School, then St. Olaf College, and finally the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. He lives in Watkins with his wife Kelly and their two girls Lauren and Morgan, two dogs Katie and Molly, and three cats: Clipper, Cowboy, and Maximus. Dr. Carl enjoys an “all creatures” approach to veterinary medicine, spending about equal time in the clinics with small animals and on the farms with the large animals. |
Emily LinnI grew up on a small Holstein dairy farm about five minutes North of Watkins. I have a 2 year old daughter, a 4 month old kitten, and a 1 year old beagle. I live with my boyfriend of 4 years and still help out now and then on the farm. The Watkins Veterinary Clinic and growing up doing farm chores is what inspired me to become a Vet Tech. I enjoy golfing, playing softball, watching baseball, spending time with my family, and taking my daughter to the lake. |
Dr. Miranda grew up in Sisseton, SD. She graduated from Iowa State University in 2009. Miranda works with both large and small animals, and enjoys the challenges and adventures involved with mixed animal practice. She and her husband Jay have a chocolate Labrador names Allie. In her spare time she enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening, horse back riding and spending time with family and friends. |
Dr. Dan grew up in Waseca, MN. As a high school student, he worked at the West & West Veterinary Clinic in Waseca. Dan's grandfather was a dairy farmer and raised horses; who always wished he had become a veterinarian. He was a big influence on Dan's life. Dan attained his undergraduate at the University of Minnesota, Duluth and as a student, worked at the Duluth Veterinary Clinic. In 1980 he graduated from the U of M veterinary college. Dan has been with the Watkins Veterinary Clinic since 1980. He enjoys general practice with both large and small animals. Dan's wife, Sara, is also a veterinarian and works at the Monticello-Big Lake Pet Hospital. Dan and Sarah have two sons in college. |
Joleen RettmanHead Technician, WatkinsI have been working as a certified veterinary technician at Watkins Veterinary clinic since 2004. I ventured south from Ely, Minnesota to attend school at Ridgewater College in Willmar, Minnesota. I am a proud owner of an 11 year old chocolate lab, Chloe, a 7 year old cat, Daphne, and a 1 year old golden retriever, Charlie. My hobbies include: reading, scrapbooking, quilting, traveling, camping, and mountain biking. |
I live with my wife and two daughters on a farm in central Minnesota. During my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, deer hunting, fishing, and cattle. |
