Wellness Program

We offer a wellness program for horses based on three vet visits per year consisting of physical exams and dental exams, lifestyle-based vaccinations as recommended by AAEP, all dewormers needed throughout the year with rotating products, fecal examinations, dental care utilizing Power Float, hand floats, and sedation, Coggins testing, and nutritional consultation for one discounted annual fee.

Spring Coggins Clinics

We are happy to provide discounted products and services and waive trip charges to accommodate large groups of horses needing their spring vaccinations, Coggins tests, and dental care. Weekends from March through April are very popular, so schedule early to reserve your group's first choice date.

Diagnostics

Our in-house laboratory enables us to perform hematology, parasitology, and bacteriology with culture and sensitivity assuring timely results. We have portable ultrasound for reproductive examinations and tendon injury diagnosis on-farm.

Reproduction

Our reproductive services include pre-breeding ultrasound examination of mares to determine optimum breeding time, ultrasound pregnancy diagnosis approximately 17 days post-breeding, and artificial insemination with semen evaluation. We are also available 24/7 for your foaling needs.

 

Dentistry

Routine dental care in horses is becoming as common as vaccinating, deworming, and Coggins testing. Keeping sharp enamel points from forming, preventing or correcting waves and other malocclusions, extracting wolf teeth or loose and infected teeth is part of maintaining a healthy, comfortable, and productive horse. We utilize Power Float with sedation to provide the gentlest experience and best results. With properly floated teeth, you may notice your horse dropping less feed, tossing its head less, gaining weight unintentionally lost, becoming less head-shy, or becoming more responsive to certain turns when using a bit. It may even prevent certain types of colic.

Surgery

We are equipped to perform on-farm field surgeries such as geldings and laceration repair.

Emergency Service

24-hour emergency service is provided to care for your horses when they have cuts, colics, foalings, and any number of other conditions requiring immediate attention day or night. You will always talk to a live person when you call our clinic number, never an answering machine.
