Bovine Services
Herd Checks
We offer pregnancy diagnosis as early as 28 days post-breeding. Detection of uterine infections, ovarian abnormalities, and determining ovarian structures present facilitates early treatment and accurate timing, thereby maximizing conception rates.
Surgery
On-farm surgeries are performed for displaced abomasum, Ceasarian section, umbilical hernias, blocked teat canals, chronic rumen bloat, urinary obstruction in steers, and cancerous or injured eyes, among others.
Diagnostics
Our in-house laboratory is able to perform hematology, parasitology, and bacteriology. Running bloodwork on milk fever cows can reveal deficiencies in electrolytes other than calcium, which facilitates specific treatments. Our bovine blood panel also reveals the extent of muscle injury to help determine the prognosis and whether the cow needs anti-inflammatory treatments.
Reproduction
Reproductive programs can be recommended based on your needs such as OvSynch, Ovsynch/CIDR, and Presynch. Vet checking individual cows is of utmost importance to determine the ovarian structures and state of the uterus before hormonal set-up shots can be relied upon for timed breeding. We are available 24/7 to assist with your difficult calvings and your post-partum cow emergencies.
Emergency Service
When you call our clinic number, you will get a real person and not an answering machine. One of our vets will either call you or head to your farm right away day or night.
